Marcus Wratten

Hi, I'm Marcus. I'm a writer mainly covering pop music, TV, film, theatre and LGBTQ+ issues. I am currently the Senior Entertainment Reporter at PinkNews, the world's largest LGBTQ+ media brand.

My writing includes interview profiles, reported features, pop culture criticism and entertainment news reporting. I have covered red carpets, junkets, film festivals and major pop culture events including the Oscars and Grammys.

I have also written about internet culture, lifestyle, books and activism for publications including The i Paper and The Big Issue.

In addition to journalism, I am a copywriter, having produced web copy, campaign materials, social media content and case study stories for charities.

I have an MA in Journalism, and am a member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ+ Entertainment Critics. In 2022, I was a JournoResources Fellow, and I am currently a mentor for journalism students.
